June 26, 2010 - Korrina and Jamin Alvidrez
I first met Olivia Thompson over the phone- Korrina’s sister who was the wedding planner to our stars. Korrina and Jamin came to the vineyard only months before their planned wedding date and met with our jack of most trades, Joey V. They were truly enamored by Joseph and boasted about his personality and professional demeanor and decided to marry at GBV. It seems as though hundreds of calls back and forth until I met the family at our dining table for the food tasting. Now with a few months to go the plans were made.
Wedding day came. The guests began to arrive, the groom was playing football in his tux, and NO KORRINA. At last check in, she was supposed to be getting her makeup done at MAC. I paced and made no reference to the fact that the bride...and bridesmaids were – well- not in attendance. The early guests began to proceed to the ceremonial site..and to delay the proceedings, we opened the wine and beer.
Korrina and maids arrived...and were gorgeous. With a 40 minute "get in the dress" push, we began the ceremony. Our little flower girl needed some encouragement from the groom, and only after the I do’s, did we all relax...and it was a great party.
Chef Adrian and crew did a great job. Pastry Chef Adrian from Valle d’Brune mastered the cake. Colbert Photo’s provided these fabulous images of the festivities. Flowers by family and friends. Wedding planner, sister Olivia Thompson.
Welcome to the GBV family.

June 5, 2010 - Felecia and Michael Pendleton
Felecia and Michael decided to marry at Gershon Bachus in April of 2009 and both families were involved in the process. Kaye, Felecia’s mom was going to help with the planning- but only Felecia really knew what she had in mind for her big day.
We casually spoke for over a year – speaking of this and that. Then the food tasting came date came in January of 2010, and the happy couple, along with Felecia’s mom and dad had a chance to try some of our new menu options. Adrian had a chance to shine that day since Kaye is a finicky eater. The menu was decided..and we still had 5 months to go.
The details all came together and the big day came. What a fabulous sunny day...an unseasonably warm day. Felecia unzipped her dress bag and exposed a Cinderella ball gown second to none. Her small frame carried this dress with grace and poise, and she took the audience’s breath away as she ascended from the bridal room for her walk to Michael. Proud pappa Randy at her side, with a grin from ear to ear.
Stephanie from Sweet Pea florist created beautiful ceremonial flower arrangements and set the room with hurricane candles and votives. Bill performed a beautiful ceremony, which was a blessing since he had a flu the day before.
Felecia’s friend DJ the event. The music was great, but moreover, it was great to see Felecia in action. I had know that she and the brides maids were part of a dance troop, but I never had the pleasure of seeing them dance...until the wedding. The entire party had fabulous rhythm and danced until the music came to its end.
We thank you for sharing the past year and 1/2 of your life with us, and we so look forward to your being a part of our GBV family

May 22, 2010 - Nicole and Ken Tomei
I first met Kathy, Nicole’s mother at the vineyard who was previewing site’s for the happy couple. I learned that our bride Amanda’s mom Georgette recommended us. Nicole and Ken live in Denver, and as we learned, were a very busy military couple. We got to know the couple over the emails and finally we nailed the details down by the food tasting. Ken shared that he would wear a kilt along with his groomsmen. It was a new twist for us at GBV.
Nicole and Ken decided to bring their pups along to share their day with them. They were very sweet and well behaved. Oscar Meyer had company and 4 legged playmates for the day. The party and music was great. We danced and shared a great moment in time for this special couple. Kathy and family did a great job coordinating the details.
We thank you all for letting us into your lives. Welcome to the GBV family.

April 24, 2010 - Logan Screeton and Lindsay Willman
Logan and Lindsay with parents in toe came to GBV for their tour. We were
overwhelmed by their politeness and calm demeanor and we were thrilled to
learn that their wedding would be a traditional Marine wedding...sword
ceremony and all.
As the months went on, I would speak to Logan with the detail...Lindsay on
the extension. We planned their elegant affair and I watched this couple
blossom together.
Wedding day arrived without Logans best man- his brother who was unable to
get leave, but with modern technology we Skyped him through for his toast to
our happy couple.
Lindsay and Logan along with DJ Daniel (one of our October Groom's) tore up
the dance floor. The evening was filled with smiles from ear to ear on each
and every guest of the Willman's and Screeton's.
I thank you for sharing your day with us. Welcome to the family.

June 20, 2009 - Lisa and Hosea "Jabbar" Clark
Pat Cannon, the bride’s mom called us on the phone one day to request info about a wedding at the winery. We had a lovely conversation about the plans for Lisa’s wedding and learned about the family. There was an immediate connection on my part, and I was quite anxious to meet this family. When I took down their information, I transposed the letters of her email and was so disappointed that I may never get to meet this great family. Well, I searched them down, called the house and asked if someone could phone back with the proper email
Our meeting together was great, and needless to say Lisa decided to have her wedding at GBV. Dan asked if I would be as excited about their wedding over a year later, and I replied – probably more so.
Jabbar, the strong silent type got his choice for the meal. The families met on the rehearsal night and I noticed the couple they would be. It was magical at rehearsal but even more spectacular on the wedding day.
Lisa was a princess, tall and flawless and Jabbar was all smiles. The flowers made by Beto were fabulous. I learned he worked for 4 days straight. Pat was the matron of honor, befitting of their mother–daughter relationship and friendship. Dan was the proud papa. I cried when they had their dance together.
The close of the evening was bitter sweet. Our girl was married and we would not speak 4 times a week.
Congrats to the wedding party who put up with my drill! Welcome to the GBV club.

June 13, 2009 - Andrea and Andrew Zaragoza
About 18 months ago, on a Sunday afternoon – Andrew, Andrea and Patricia came to the vineyard for a tour. Our next visit was with Andrea’s dad too and we began the wedding plans of this wonderful couple who had been dating for 5 years. As the year past, Andrea and Andrew shared time with us at our grape stomp and met other brides and grooms who wed with us in 2008.
2009 rolled in, and the plans began to materialize. A wedding dream was being created before our eyes, as the wonderful couple expressed their dreams. The Socialites planned the atmosphere for the big day.
In a traditional handmade gown Andrea left for the church to meet her groom. Two hours later, the pictures and party started at Gershon Bachus. Elegance, great food and fine wine were enjoyed by all.
And, by getting married, it does not let you off the hook for the GBV parties.
Thanks to Loren Scott for the photographic memories.

June 6, 2009 - Elise and Tyler Burk
Elise and Tyler were secretly married before Tyler went to Iraq. It was the 2008 version of a WW2 romance movie. They married and he left to serve his country. Elise and her family planned a wedding upon his return and chose Gershon Bachus to celebrate the unification.
In our first Military wedding, we watched Elise – a brand new graduate from USF marry her love under the gazebo. We waited for the cloud cover to move beyond the mountains before Elise took her first steps. Tyler, wearing his Army blues was a proud man.
The night was full of exhilaration and The Swing Cats returned to GBV for another glorious evening. Big Band and contemporary music was enjoyed by all.
My special thanks to Janet Alba and Maria for helping with the coordination through the past months. It was a pleasure going through the process with you.

April , 2009 - Meghan and David Herzog
In the decisive nature of most lawyers, David and Meghan knew what they wanted. With so much verve and vigor, David – wearing bright green sneakers escorted Meghan to our tasting room and stated "we would like to book our date".
Precise timing and loads of emails got us to the finish line with only a slight hitch. Meghan’s son came down with an ear infection the day of, and slept quietly in the bride’s suite for most of the wedding. But Meghan, rose to the occasion and walked down the aisle to her groom. No green sneakers this day, but it was a colorful affair.
The toasts and skit were truly original. David’s sisters planned a big surprise illuminating the crowd on the courtship of David and Meghan. Oh- and one sister was the Best Woman!
The atmosphere was fun – as the 80’s band rocked the house – and David rarely left the dance floor.
Congrats to GBV’s new in-house attorney’s, Meghan and David Herzog. Check out Langdon Lee’s first steps at GBV – he was walking directly to Christina who will cherish this moment.
Thanks to Loren Scott for the photographic memories.

March 21, 2009 - Catherine and Josh Miller
On a not so nice day, in an unusual cold March, the sun peeked through the clouds to guide Catherine down the aisle to Josh. Their friends and family gathered from East and West to share this couple’s special vineyard wedding.
Josh, the shrewd negotiator had everything planned. Catherine blinked – and her wish was Josh’s command. As it should be, I say!
I am pleased to say that the groom was totally involved with all of the planning. We all partied to the wee hours!
Welcome to the GBV family.

January 4, 2009 - Erin and Chris Stetson Wedding Reception
Erin and Chris came to see us with stars in the eyes and the plan for a perfect wedding. Erin expressed the image of their perfect wedding and Chris shared in all the glory. It was if they were playing back the tape from an old movie.
The next step was to impress the parents. On a not so typical day, Erin's parents Terry and Eric came to view the property and share wine and stories. It was as if we were long lost friends who were planning their daughter's wedding.
Erin and Chris' wedding day was blessed. The weather had been horrid all week, but that day was beautiful day with great sunshine. The crisp air was refreshing and the ceremony perfect. As the sun fell into the horizon, the reception began with its Big Band theme. The Swing Cats performed and we all danced on, even as the bride and groom left for their magical night.
Thank you to the Anderson and Stetson family and friends for sharing their special day with us

October 25, 2008 - Alex Prestifillipo turns 40! Three great minds sat in a corner of Gourmet Italia planning a plot to surprise Alex for his 40th birthday. Charity had a grand idea of mass proportions – shut down the restaurants, bring in Alex’s family from Sicily and friends to a Soprano style theme party for Alex. It had to be a surprise- Yikes.
With the craft of spinning a great tale, Ken and I began to master the plan. How? Invite Alex as an authentic Italian chef for a celebrity wrap party for the not yet written "Last Supper" featuring the country’s most famous Italian actors and actresses. So what was the problem you ask? Alex would know as soon as he pulled to the gate that there was party… Plan 2. Alex was going to interview to be the chef for the Celebrity cook along dinner the night AFTER the wrap party! Much better, except, Alex ordered the food- OOPS.
The interview was to be held at 4:00 sharp October 25th. Alex was held at the gate by the valet claiming he was not on the list. After just enough time to enrage him, the gates opened and our stage was set. Alex opened the door to 150 of his family and friends all dressed in Soprano meets Sicily garb. The BIGGEST SURPRISE, behind the closed doors to the patio – stood his family from Sicily.
We pulled it off, didn’t we Charity!!!!

September 5,2008 - Anna and Michael Ballou Wedding Reception
Anna is a quiet woman of Russian heritage. Michael is a calming man from Italian heritage. They had a plan. Their plan was perfectly executed on September 5, 2008 on a beautiful September day. Family and friends gathered at GBV and were in awe of Anna, who wore a elegant dress and bright pink fuchsia shoes. All of the bridal accents were in fuchsia pink, including the flowers. Gershon Bachus beamed with color, but no one beamed brighter than Anna on that day.
The ceremony was simple. The party was a blast. Everyone danced and shared stories of the bride and groom. The families both exuded great passion for life, and their love of the bride and groom. We had a great time. Thank you Anna and Michael for sharing your day with us.

August 9,2008 - Caroline and Brad Bosak Wedding Reception
Caroline Moore and Brad Bosak came to GBV on a Cinqo De Mayo during our clean up from Lauren and Kevin's wedding. The place was a mess and so was I. Caroline and Brad toured the property, asked to see the menu, and simply said - please book us for August 9th, 2008. I was somewhat taken aback. Caroline and Brad both work in the wedding business for a large hotel chain. They wanted to plan their wedding without stress - and three months was plenty of time.
Caroline arrived calm as can be. She was gracious and hands on with the details. Brad and his groomsmen spent the beautiful August day just waiting for the ceremony to begin.
The wedding party all departed from the bridal doors and the Bosak's Boston terriers ascended down the aisle with Caroline's mom. Caroline looked fantastic as she walked to Brad. The ceremony from start to finish could not have lasted longer than 10 minutes.
The rest was party time.
Ken and I would like to thank Caroline and Brad and their families for such a nice party at GBV. I think I was more nervous about hosting wedding planners than the bride and groom.
Congratulations.

July 12,2008 - Amanda and Roy Gutierrez Wedding Reception
Amanda Sanchez and Roy Gutierrez came to see us only 6 months prior to their
proposed wedding date. Their wedding dream spared no details for their
grand celebration.
Amanda and Roy were married on a perfect summer day. Family and friends
were greeted with beautiful keyboard music as they waited in anticipation
for the bride to appear. She was stunning and beamed as she met Roy at the
top of the "G" logoed aisle - symbolizing Gutierrez.
The wine blending unification ritual joined Amanda and Roy together. The
mariachi music played the favorite songs of the families through the
cocktail hour. Amanda and Roy's heritage and traditions were expressed
throughout the affair and the prominent "G" was displayed proudly behind
their head table and on the wedding cake.
The wedding was flawless. We had a great time with Amanda and Roy and their
guests.
Welcome to the GBV family!

May 4, 2008 - LAUREN AND KEVIN McGOVERN Wedding Reception
The Goodnight family found GBV this year for their beautiful daughter Lauren and fiance Kevin. With great attention to every detail, Cheryl and Greg became our friends, not just clients. We witnessed young love and watched Lauren and Kevin enter into marriage with every rose bush in bloom. Their vows were so sentimental and heart-felt. Every one in the crowd cried as their professed their love for one another, but I truly believe that we cried because it made us remember what it was like to fall in love.

March 3, 2008 - BARB AND STEVE MORALES Wedding Reception
After 48 years as a bachelor, Steve married Barb and her family at GBV. The excitement of the groom was exhilarating. The bride wore a beautiful ivory gown with gold accents, it must be revealed that she wore red pattened leather stiletto shoes. After a traditional lasso ceremony which united the entire family, the party rocked! We were blessed with a beautiful spring day. The warmth of the sun mirrored the warmth of the friends we will always cherish.

February 23, 2008 - BIG BAND BIRTHDAY BASH FOR KEN’S 60TH.
Friends from near and far came to GBV to share in Kenny’s 60th Gangster themed Big Band birthday. Brother Dennis from NY toasted his baby brother in a roast fashion only to be upstaged by Ken playing drums with the 10 piece big band the Swing Cats. The crowd was dressed to the nine’s in gangster style attire from the 1920’s to the 1940’s. For those who shared their best wishes at the open mic, we thank you for the laughs and for the sincerity. For those who held back, you’ll have 5 years to prepare for the next one!

July 07, 2007
Hilda and Kenny’s wedding. We worked through the beautiful summer sun to put on a casual, yet elegant event. The ceremony took place during the early stages of a beautiful sunset with a calm breeze blowing through. The wedding ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour that took place through dusk. The reception went off flawlessly as the guests blew bubbles while the new bride and groom made their entrance and had their first slow dance as a married couple. Our gourmet chef, Gerry Kent, once again created a delicious meal to be coupled with our Villa Vino Wines and good conversation. Following the meal, friends and family of the betrothed danced the night away to great music while enjoying each other’s company and sharing the newlyweds’ happiness.
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Hicok and thank you for a great day!
May 12, 2007 - Jason and Natalie Haderlie Wedding Reception
What can I say about Jason and Natalie? They were our wedding pioneers at GBV. Jason and Natalie came to us while we were still under construction and asked if we could host their wedding. I think our reaction was "are you crazy- what if we’re not ready"? Natalie said, we know you guys – you’ll be ready. Natalie is a wedding professional, and planner extraordinaire. Natalie was my teacher. I received a crash course on Brides 101. My day job allows me the privilege of running major events and parties, but I had never done a wedding besides my own. I am pleased to say that I learned the difference with Natalie by my side.
The last rose bushes were planted at 11:00am. Natalie and family arrived at 12:00 noon. As the landscaper gave me the nod that he was done, I opened my arms to the bridal party and witnessed a fabulous day. Ken and I wish to sincerely thank Natalie and Jason for their faith in us, and in their taking us by the hand and showing us how to host the perfect wedding.
As for the groom, he is the most even tempered person. I watched him out of the corner of my eye as all of the A-type women did their thing. I saw Jason walk down the aisle to the gazebo with a smile ear to ear. He knew he had made the right decision. Natalie and I were in the bridal room waiting for music when she said, "I need to pee". "Timing is everything, and you have a crowd waiting for you" was my reply.
You may also notice that much of Jason and Natalie’s wedding is part of our website. We wish to thank them and Jaimee from Capturing Moments for allowing us to use these images.
