Tasting at GBV

The GBV Difference

We believe the merits of a wine can only be measured if the tasting atmosphere is right.

This is why we always have a seat for you and monitor the room to avoid overcrowding. It is also the reason we have several members of our staff seated in front of you to talk you through each varietal—be it the owners, our head winemaker, or our incredibly knowledgable pourers.

Our goal is to have you relax and heighten your senses to the fine wine, while you enjoy the surrounding views and create a feeling akin to a day in paradise. We open the doors to let the ocean breeze pass through while we play relaxing tunes and kick back together.

This is what we love to do. So, the way we see it, our guests are just new friends we've yet met—or existing friends that have returned to a second home.

The Tasting Room, like any bar, is an environment that caters to adults. As such, we kindly ask that you do not bring children during tasting hours. Should this be unavoidable, we request that someone act as the designated driver and be responsible for supervising the children away from the tasting tables. Our policy is for the safety of your children and to respect our other guests.

Industry professionals from wine country are honored at GBV everyday. We appreciate your visit, and ask that you come M-Th 12-530pm and Sa/Su 11am-1pm

Our Style of Wine

Your tasting will include varietals grown at the estate, such as Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Roussanne. Other varietals are sourced from Temecula vineyards usually within a 5 mile radius of Gershon Bachus.

Flexible Spaces

While most of our tastings take place in the Barrel Room, the summer months allow for seating to expand onto the outdoor Cocktail Patio by the Grenache vines.

Private Tastings

GBV offers private wine tastings and tours, tasting lunches, and dinner for parties of 40 or more, by appointment only. We also offer corporate team building events with wine-related activities for parties of 20 or more. Please call for details, menus, and availability.

VIP Clique Area

Wine Clique members have access to an exclusive tasting area, which offers wines by the glass and exclusive varietals.
